I've replaced this file/usr/avast4workstation-1.0.4/share/doc/avast4workstation-1.0.4/avast.potwith the new, translated one.Boot.Nothing happens, all that I get is the English version I need a way to test the lenght of the messages and the acent... I'm foreseeing problems... :'( Maybe you can post the list of acented characters and their 'translation' into codes (ASCII or whatever) that must be into avast.pot file.
avastworkstation-x.y.z.tar/avast4workstation-x.y.z/lib/avast4workstation/share/locale/pt/LC_MESSAGES/
Just translation of .pot file is not enough for localized program
But I think that Dublin can compile it for you. Then do not forget to set LANG variable to pt_BR to enjoy avast! Linux Home in Portuguese.

there'e a package including prepared '.mo' file, please unpack it into your avast4workstation-1.0.4/lib/avast4workstation/share/locale directory and then run avastgui.http://www2.asw.cz/~mensik/locale.tgz
I've enabled the locale by running:export LANG=pt_BR; avastguiThere's also included pt.po file for possible correction. You can send me the updated file back. We've converted the file into utf-8 encoding, please use this encoding!
thx Tech,one more question, what's your LANG environment varible ( % echo $LANG ) ?
Btw, I found out that Passolo supports the PO format and included the Linux translation file into avast! project. So, if you want, I can send you the Linux bundle in Passolo (for corrections, of course, not for testing).
"Server version translation" - you mean the Passolo package, Net title?
