SecureLine VPN not working in major hotels

Hi,

Free Avast Anti Virus is great.

Testing 30 day trial of SecureLine VPN however doesn't work in major hotels like Swissotel in Singapore and Sofitel in Manila.
When I start VPN internet gets blocked(Still connected to hotels wifi however no internet).
Defeats the purpose as I travel frequently and use creditcard frequently.

There is nothing you or avast can do if a WiFi hotspot is blocking a certain VPN.

I'm sorry for refresh this post that is very old, but I didn't see other about this problem.

Is still not working well in hotels? Because I'm already paying avast and cleaning up premium and I dont want to pay for VPN if is not working in hotels, cause I use to work in hotels at leats 1-2 days at week...
In adition, do you know if is working well in airports? Cause everytime that I conect to a free wifi in airport/bus station I'm scared
