Anti Virus scan stays at 0.....Tech support wanted to charge me 199.95 then came down to 49.95.....No way Caught them in a lie.....I said I could just re-format and reinstall windows on my windows 10 64 bit machine.......She told me there would be remnants of old programs still on there..Lie!..Not on a clean install........ >:(

Now i have to find an option to send in a support ticket and go for a refund.

it seems to be a windows 10 issue with avast. I complained about this issue before and was told its a known bug. scan stays at 0% till its done. but it is running.

This is a known issue, yes.

The scan stays stuck at 0% for quite a while but is running - the scan will complete succesfully. This will be fixed rather later than sooner since it isn't a major issue. We may also see some stats returned for on demand scans so when users see stats moving, they know it's not stuck.

Do not worry, scanning goes though and shows 0% I have this on Avast version 17.4.2294 and Windows 10 64 bit. After a certain time the download will start from 0 and above just need to be tightened. Do not complete the scan. Verification will be completed in full :) :) :)
