Update System files in virus chest?

If the system files get updated by 'windows update' (ie patches or service packs) do they get copied to the virus chest backup to overwrite the old ones? ie (kernel32.dll, winsock.dll, wsock32.dll)
Does the refresh button do that?

Yes, new versions are copied to the virus chest, but the old versions are not overwritten, they stay there too. Copying is performed during startup of avast service.
