Thank you Australia for this, thank you so much... THANK YOU !!! FlashGet domination on my PC finally reached its end... I was so interested to find something like this, and now you posted that link...

Beautiful and simple GUI, transparency in some windows, audio/video preview, zip preview, wonderful progress preview, great browser integration, lots of useful functions/options, easy to set up... and... sugar at the end... FREEWARE !!!

What one can need more ?

I've gone back to FlashGet (Pro). Had problems with links on many downloads with Free Download Manager.
Also never had any of these problems while using StarDownloader Free

Had problems with links on many downloads with Free Download Manager.
Bob, do you want me to test these links?
I've never had problems with FDM... It works like a charm for me...

Sorry tech didn't keep the links but Free Download Manager downloaded the URL to the download site instead of the actual file if that's of any help.

You need to add html and other webpages extensions to not be downloaded by FDM.
Indeed, for me, if you add a link to 'another donwload page', the ones having a phrase like this: 'if your download does not start immediatly, click here' or something like that, FDM process the link and goes further until it finds the real link to download the file...
As I can see, something is different in your system (with FDM maybe...).
