Hi all,

When I installed Avast Premier there were other anti-virus software packages on the laptop, so it went into Passive Mode. I have now removed the other packages, however when I go to "Settings, Troubleshooting, Passive Mode" clicking on the green tick doesn't do anything.

Can anyone suggest what I need to do to turn passive mode off so it is protecting my laptop properly?

Thanks in advance.

Perform a repair of avast.
If that doesn't solve it, perform a clean installation.

Make sure that everything from other av's is removed before doing so.

The repair was the nice easy answer! Thanks for that, it resolved the issue and I now feel a little more comfortable on the internet.

Thanks Eddy!
