Reinstalling anti virus and VPN

I am doing major lap top work and will have to re install these on the same device ,can some one advise me on this.The faq covers going to a new device,but this is the same device.I am afraid I will be up cyber creek without a paddle.

If you reinstall the OS it is considerd as a new device.
Download the software and install it.
You can use your current license(s) for the new installation.
Make sure you remove the current device from your account first.
