Virus Full Scan still showing at 0%
« on: May 19, 2017, 06:53:29 PM »
 Hi :)

I am running avast free on windows 10
I have no problem running a quick scan - But when I choose to run a full scan
The full virus scan - Running seems to be at 0% and does not progress ...
I clicked on uni-stall and selected repair and tried again this time it shows the % running
But does seem very slow - about 2 Min's or more - before the running percentage shows the running scan

Steve :)

When you first begin a full scan avast! is running a rootkit scan thus the GUI shows no progress.
This is normal. Rest assured the scan is running. It just takes a bit before any progress is shown.
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.
