Justin, you don't even need to patch uxtheme.dll to use Microsoft Royal Theme. Theme was made originally by Microsoft, and it's the only one additional theme that can be used without any third party program. You just have to place it inside your Windows/Resources/Themes folder and choose it from Display Properties/ Appearance.
I stopped messing around with those StyleXP and uxtheme.dll patcher a long time ago. You can just mess up some crucial system files, and your Windows will never work the same again, untill you decide to reinstall everything from the scratch one day. People don't realize that by patching uxthemes.dll (especially if done with some poorly programmed patcher) you get a lot more troubles than goodies. When it comes to your OS, I strongly believe that your OS'es efficiency is much more important than cosmetic aspect of it.
Besides, as I already mentioned... Royale theme works without any need for patching anything. Just download that theme, put it in above mentioned folder, and you're good to go.
