Broken PC after Avast deep boot scan from pendrive
« on: May 24, 2017, 07:58:40 PM »
Hi,

I was having some issues with Chrome, when opening a new tab it changed to a unknown search engine instead of Google (the default one I had) or opening some random page. And after several tries of cleaning with full PC scan, where Avast found son issues related to web exporer extensions, when click on clean it said nothing found to clean.

So I tried with the boot scan from the pendrive, it took several hours but when it was finished the PC restarted on recovery mode, saying it was unable to load and again, and again and again, and cannot recover the previous state of the pc without reinstalling Win10 and loosing all programs and configs.

Thanks a lot, I'm cancelling my 1year suscription, only 4 days after purchasing.

Unless you can provide me of a way to solve this problem.

Restore to a previous date.
If that doesn't solve it, perform a repair of Windows 10 and see if it solves the problem.

Already tried, previous date is long time ago, and repair of windows dows nothing, it keeps on rebooting in repair mode...

See if a in-place-repair of the OS is solving it.
