Partypoker site being blocked- can't get on to the webpage
« on: June 02, 2017, 11:52:48 PM »
Hi,
I'm trying to start playing on Partypoker, but every time I try to go on the page where you change your screen name (among other things), which is https://secure.partyaccount.com, it gets blocked, with no exception to override, even though it is clearly a false positive as this is a page being linked directly from the poker client and partypoker is a safe and reputable site. I have tried adding it to every exception list possible (i.e. in avast, and in my internet settings), as well as trying to access it in safe zone browser, but no luck. How can I get avast to stop flagging the site as malware? There's got to be a way I can override the automatic blocking of the site?

Hi nickouk68,

Can you attach a screenshot of the avast block?

Hi nickouk68,

Can you attach a screenshot of the avast block?
I would if I knew how (sorry, near technological illiterate here). I've saved the scerenshot to my computer, but 'add image' doesn't seem to help...

It is not just about a site being clean or not.
All 4 scans show that there are problems.

Not needed.
It is a IP and/or Domain block (URL:Mal)

Ok so I'll just use a different poker site- one that avast doesn't block. Thanks for sorting that out for me guys

Be careful which one you choose.
A lot of them are not really trusted.
Read the fine print in their terms and reviews etc.

+1

I would be suspicious of any poker site; ethics is not their strong suit.

And the one mentioned here is based in Gibraltar.
They do that because they are not allowed in other countries while they would violate the law in them.
