I have Avast, and use the AvastSafeZone, but ...
« on: June 09, 2017, 05:45:50 PM »
As stated in the title to this comment, I have Avast anti-virus, and use the AvastSafeZone.  But if I allow the Anti-virus as my active firewall, I'm not allowed to access any website on the internet.  I have to turn off the Avast Firewall to use browse, using the Safezone.

What do I need to do, in order to change this?

Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.

Hi Wolfie02,

What Eddy said.   :D

Might sound counterintuitive, but issue with Avast Sandbox on a paid version of avast was crashing and a clean install of that installation did the trick.

You'll need:

avast clear:  https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility  Follow instructions to boot into Safe Mode.
Latest Offline Install exe here:  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=201729.0

[Note:] If you are installing the full offline executalble on either XP or Vista, you'll need to be connected to the internet to get additional files required for these operating systems.  If you don't connect the install will not run as it should on these systems.
