Hi

Using Avast free. Recently Avast fixed an issue (after an Avast update) that stopped Reaper DAW from starting the playhead. Since then, I find that my midi (notes) and audio (samples) are recording about 1/32 too early. I know that Avast is causing the issue as I tested the same DAW on my laptop which worked perfectly until Avast on that machine updated itself. I even uninstalled Avast and used the uninstall tool but the problem still persists. Please Avast, can you look into it. Thank you.

At the time that this issue started happening there was a known Avast bug that stopped the playhead from starting. See: http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php?p=1841087&postcount=21

If you removed avast and the problem is still there as you say, it is not avast that is causing the problem.

As I said my laptop was fine until Avast updated itself...

And as I said, if you completely removed avast it can't be avast that is causing it because it is not there anymore.
