system restart

This morning avast pro said it wants to restart my system. Why? The last update recorded in the info log was from the 16th. Is there another place it records updates that require a reboot of the system?

Do you have program updates set to 'auto'? If so, it's OK that you were asked for reboot -- indeed there was a program update yesterday afternoon.

To see the updater logs, start the avast log viewer and check out the Setup and Updating category (bottom-left part of the window)

Remember that first are updated the iAVS push users (Profesional version), than (or simultaneously) all other users connected to the Internet and configurated to do the update automatically or manually... Some time later the website is updated... So, sometimes, what you can see at website is not the last update available...  8)
