New problem with 2-atage passwords
« on: June 28, 2017, 09:23:46 PM »
This problem started today after installing Ransomware in latest version of Avast Premier:
      a) I sign into my Credit card Account with User Id and Password
      b) I then have to enter 3 random numbers from my Pin Number

I get through stage (a) ok, but then the 3 boxes for each of the random pin numbers
contain 4, repeat 4 dots in the 1st box, then a single dot in the 2nd and 3rd boxes.
I cannot therefore get past stage (b);  because of the 4 dots.  Pressing delete in that box
has no effect as the 4 dots reappear.  If I delete the relevant entries in the Passwords
Section in Avast Premier I can proceed.  But the next time I access the Credit card site
and enter User id/Password, I am asked if I want to save them by Avast.  If I say
SAVE, the 4-dot problem reappears.  Anyone any ideas what the solution might be?
Thanks - Mike - UK

Thank you for replying.  Very strange that the 2 stage process had worked until yesterday for months,
but after updating Avast Premier to the latest version today it no longer works!  The "random"
digits I have to enter in Stage (b) are from a fixed 6-digit Pin Number created when I set the
Credit Card Account up.
