Microsoft OneDrive setup
« on: June 25, 2017, 03:33:49 PM »
Hi folks.

A few days ago I had a problem: "Microsoft OneDrive setup".... stuck in my task manager and he eats 12-15% CP. (watch the photo down here). I can close this task, but on the next day i see the same picture. So, 2 questions:

1) Can it be a... virus? (my, Avast Internet Security doesn't find anyone, but may be...)
2) Maybe antivirus blocking OneDrive and he cant finish... somethin?

Thanks

It doesn't look like a malware but if you like, you can run the process explorer with VirusTotal Support enabled and check if it's legit

If you need assistance, refer the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4z4Xdk1UpWg

Ok... if it's - not antivirus... what can it be?

(in a last few weeks i did nothin special... no new "soft" or somethin else...). I'll try to delete the "one drive". May be this can help (but windows can install it agane... when new patch is coming out. + delete instead fix - it's not a best option).

Unfortunately i've deleted OneDrive before check it. i thought: may be it's just some... "microsoft-update-problem", and clear re\instal could fix it. Then I thought: I had to check it first anyway... But it was already late.... well my bad.

Now i need to test it a bit. If problem does not disappear - i'll do it.

Thanks for the "process explorer" hint - looks like a good tool.

So... i'm not pretty sure... maybe new Avast update (yesturday) helped, or guys from microsoft has fix something, or some of my actions. But i dont see any... suspicious activity, at least for now...

Well - i'll hope what the problem - gone.

If you don't use OneDrive and/or don't plan to, you can uninstall it completely:

OneDrive Uninstaller v1.2
https://github.com/TERRAOperative/OneDrive-Uninstaller

I run it after every install of Windows 10. Gone are the headaches with OneDrive.
