WHEA_Uncontrollable_Error caused by Avast
« on: June 25, 2017, 08:09:48 PM »
I had Avast installed on my computer (Windows 8 ). One day I turn on my computer and it gives me the error "WHEA_Uncontrollable_Error". Something in Avast was causing this to happen. My computer would go into safe mode every time I tried to turn it on. The Avast uninstall tool would not work. You have to be out of safe mode to run the .exe file. It then puts you into safe mode, then you can uninstall Avast. I brought my computer to some technicians and they (somehow) uninstalled Avast and recommended that I never install it again. Avast is an amazing anti-virus software. I would like to use it again, but how can I be sure this won't happen again? If it does, is there another way I can uninstall avast without using the uninstall tool while not in safe mode?
