Poor UI in ransomware shield.
Is it my Documents folder or some subfolder in the documents folder. No info on mouseover and no detailed view with better information about paths.

Yesterday on the interal dev channel, I suggested to the Avast team to make it show the full path or atleast make it hovered to see the full path.

Firewall bug in this version...

I have firewall notifications turned on which normally just informs me when a program has been allowed.

After this update the message now says "Firewall has banned XXXXXX from accessing the network" where XXXXXX is any newly detected program.

If you then check the packet rules it looks ok and hasn't been 'banned' and the program runs normally.

A good stable release. I haven't come across any issues so far.

Well done Avast team.

The Privacy tab shows "new" while  Data Shredder is not actually an installed component. There is no way to remove the "new" mark from Privacy which is a slight annoyance.

Yes, nice smooth update.  The permanent "New" under "Privacy" is indeed annoying.  It would also be nice to have Status Monitoring back (I like more control, not less ;)).

There's nothing wrong with the Firewall but there is a bug with the notification which is reporting wrong information.

This notification bug only happens when "show notifications about newly created allow rules" is enabled in the Firewall settings which is disabled by default. This bug has been reported.

Thank you Alikhan.

Exactly the issue and also what is causing the bug:  'Show notifications' is not on by default so maybe overlooked because of this.  Maybe translation into English was faulty?  Otherwise avast firewall works as it should.

Hi Dev team,

FYI, the centurylink website is being detected as a phising website using browsers and also avast safezone browser.

Please fix asap.

Thank you Avast!

Avast schilden beheren werkt niet !
Wanneer ik "Uitschakelen tot de computer terug opstart" aanklik
Blijft de Avast virusscanner inactief na het heropstarten van de PC

Avast shields do not work!
When I click "Disable Computer Restart"
The Avast virus scanner stays idle after restarting the PC

Hello,

And what about the issue described in the Reply#35 by Bluepy ?
I have exactly same issues (sound delay on all notifications) on Discord since yesterday, just after updating Avast.
Thx

I have consequent slow downs on Discord with this new version, just like the update of May.
I have exactly the same issues as here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=201754.msg1391653#msg1391653 except turning off protection doesn't work anymore, the slow down stays

It isn't fixed in AIS 17.5.2302 with VPS 17062800.  I've restarted Windows since today's VPS update.
