You should be able to trigger it manually. It's fixed here.

Trigger: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\AvEmUpdate.exe (run and restart).

Concerning the Discord issue related in Reply#35 and Reply#77, I made some research about the same issue appeared just after the Avast version update of May.

Last month it was due to the System File Shield.

A vps update fixed the problem (170509-4)

Is there a vps update incoming for the same trouble with the new Avast version ?

To anyone with problems with Discord following the new Avast update:

Disable the anti-rootkit monitoring component on the troubleshooting tab in your Avast settings. It should be the second option.

For your safety, do not disable the first option - that checks for rootkits on Windows boot only, it shouldn't bother you at any other point.

Well I live the good life and have very few components installed, but the, previous issue of Flash Player Updates, not recognising an update was present has been resolved. It now detects updates are available.

However the Resolve All button is still extremely misleading and scares the pants of users. They don't want to Resolve All when they don't know what is going to be resolved. This Resolve All button seriously needs rewording - View Details - or anything else to indicate you are only going to see information and not Blindly Resolve All.

When I started my 2 other Win 7 laptops and they had time to check for Avast updates, the New Privacy issue was corrected automatically.

On the first laptop, which didn't correct the issue, I restarted in the Windows Admin account about 12:30 PM.  On restart and Avast check, the issue was corrected.  Perhaps the original restart (and the second restart) was before the Avast servers providing the update in my area.

When will you fix the issue of Avast re-installing Behavior Shield without consent?

The only consent I ever give avast is permission to run the full offline installer (after notification), and even then I always use the Custom Install feature, never the gui upgrade.

I never have issues when done this way.

I always do a full uninstall using Programs and Features along with avastclear.exe in safe mode.  Certainly helps to prevent unwanted surprises 100% of the time.

I'm certainly not holding my breath to see if avast will fix the issue on an upgrade path.  I'd have died a long time ago waiting.   :P

Having a copy of Unchecky running in your systray has helped in the past when the unexpected happened during an avast full install, just so you know.  Has blocked two times so far.

1) At the beginning of a quick scan a popup occurs that says scan has completed.  Click the details and it has just started.
2) Don't need a notification to show every time a scan completes

About an hour ago a retried the update and still Behavior Shield gets installed, and still 'new' remains on the Privacy tab.

Yeah, the "NEW" stuck on Privacy button is annoying.
According to MartinZ (Reply #76) it's fixed already.
I've no privacy features installed, so can't check it.

I have only recently updated to 17.5.2302 on this win10 laptop and it did have the New button, but today when I check it has gone.

I don't have any privacy items installed either but the Data Shredder is always there. In the hope that I may upgrade I guess.
