I don't have any privacy items installed either but the Data Shredder is always there. In the hope that I may upgrade I guess.
Confirmed. It doesn't show up in Premier, though.

In my image there was also a new icon over the Protection tile, opening that and it is for the Ransomware. As suspected opening it is trying to get you to upgrade (not in avast free). Once you exit that back to the home screen the new tab is gone.

The Discord slowness issue has been reproduced by the Avast team and should be fixed soon via a VPS update (today/tomorrow)

i haven't played ESO (elder scrolls online) for long time, year & a half or few years i went in game & i had more often FPS drop & lag + sound lag, more like sound stop for a bit, it was a lot less when i played it last time its possible its due this avast update or this + meany updates before, i mention this so avast team can check the possibility of a conflict between the game & Avast never stuff

well sound lag happened in fallout 4 to, sometimes, that's also never thing but not after this update, before that, Fo4 i started playing few months ago after a year (or more) of pause from it & before that there have been quite a lot of updates, new i am on pause form Fo4 again

Yeah, the "NEW" stuck on Privacy button is annoying.
According to MartinZ (Reply #76) it's fixed already.
I've no privacy features installed, so can't check it.

I have only recently updated to 17.5.2302 on this win10 laptop and it did have the New button, but today when I check it has gone.

well i have New txt there & also that new button of folder shield, the New txt is still there, but doesn't bother me as much as it does some ppl

This "NEW" issue is now fixed ;-)
I have come to conclusion that the behavior shield indeed IS taken into account when determining the security status of the PC, which IMO is a good thing. However, you might be more interested by the way I learned this - it wasn't by you telling me, but it was by itself failing to turn on on computer startup. You might want to take a look at this since it happens for 2 or 3 versions now and I've saw other users also posting this. :)

Avast is aware of the problem and is working on it. I've sent in lot's of scans etc. :)

17.5.2302 on XP PRO SP3 still on occassion (has done it once, this morning) has turned off Behavior Shield
This is not happening on Toshiba Laptop with Windows 10 Home 64 ... I was hoping Avast would get this fixed by now.

It not only happens on XP but on all Windows operating systems. I've been working with the developers and was told
the following this morning:
"hi, we made some improvements in service starting (based on your etl log file), so the problem should be gone in 17.6"
