Avast Free AV keeps terminating

Avast Free AV becomes disabled frequently, it takes ~5 minutes (exactly same time between events in event viewer 5min 7secs) to be terminated after restarting Avast service. Did clean reinstall and the issue remains. Uninstalled and ran avastclear after, downloaded latest installer for reinstall.

Event Viewer:
The Avast Antivirus service terminated unexpectedly.

Windows 10 Pro version 1703 (Creators Update) x64
Intel Core i7 4770K
GeForce 780Ti
16GB RAM
Using Windows' firewall
No additional protection installed. Windows Defender fully disabled.

I'm having the same issue. I've done clean installs and repairs and all the suggestions people give, but it keeps happening. Avast crashes multiple times a day now.

Have you checked to see if avast defense is ticked on (enabled)?
