My comp running Avast is also fixed now,

My comp running Avast is also fixed now, but the 2 AVG ones have still got the problem.
So I came up with a solution, got rid of AVG and installed Avast!

Considering that Avast owns AVG, that was a smart move.

Simple, we use Avast not AVG.
AVG has it's own support forum.

Not speaking for bob3160, the point as I see it is:
1.  This topic is related to the avast Web Shield and for you your avast installation is working.

2.  The majority of respondents here are avast users not avast team members, so we will have little/no knowledge of the avg program so we can't help. 

3.  I know you have said the avg forum is somewhat lacking and we really can't help in that regard either.  The only thing that I could suggest is to change the other installations to avast and see how they get on.

Thanks David. My answer was just shorter. No disrespect to vlct but AVG answer are best obtained in their forum.
