I was very hopeful there for a minute. Did what you said. Emails are attempting to be sent but it may be next week before the progress bar is filled. Seems very constipated and slow. Any ideas?

This is solved in the next version (until in beta phase).
Maybe you can wait one week or two.
Just disable the outbound (smtp) scanning until there.
