Problems with new version 17.6.2310
« on: September 02, 2017, 11:02:29 AM »
Hi new here,

On 31 august avast asked for an update, now firefox and adope reader doesn't function anymore.
Not sure which other programs don't function any more...
I deleted avast and every thing was ok again.
Reinstalled avast, all worked, now I recalled my win7 ultimate 64bit from hibernation, same problem no firefox and no adope dc reader...

What would be the easiest an quickest fix?
Can I install a older version of avast?

Please (re)search before posting.
The issue is known and there are already threads about it.

yeah treads but are there any solutions also?
I've checked them no solutions so what am I suppossed to do?

This not how I wanted to start my saterday.
If an released update is bad just update it back to previous version and recompile every thing to be sure to have a stable version and release it again.
Everybody can drop the ball at some given point...

As you can read in a post from avast, it is not related to the latest two updates.
avast is looking into it.

What do you mean with:
it is not related to the latest two updates?

Then how come the problems started after the latest update?
Anyway I'll search for an older version and install that one

I mean exactly what I said and that is what avast is saying also.

Installing a older version will not work as it will automatically update unless you don't connect to the Internet.

How can you still claim it hasn't got to do with the update?!?
Regardless of what avast tells you;

Everybody's problems started after the latest update

So isn't the latest update the problem?

Anyway if the problems aren't fixed by monday bye avast and welcome avg
With the start of the new schoolyear, I can't be bothered with flawed programs.
I'm have avast running over 10 system wich I'm all responible for.
I was a happy user for more then 5 years, I hope for another 5 at least.
But like every product nowadays no more quality just pushing people to spend there money.

Go read what avast has said about it.
They are the ones who know.

I and millions of others don't have that problem with the latest updates.

So isn't the latest update the problem?
How many times must you be told the problem is NOT wit the latest updates before you get it ?

In that case, stop using Windows.
