Can you confirm (those who are affected with browsers not loading) that you are running the latest version of Avast 17.6.2310 as well as the latest VPS via Settings > Update?
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

Just re-installed to check for you;
Virus Database release date: 01/09/2017 1:06:12 PM
Virus Database version: 170901-2
Program release date: 31/08/2017 9:53:42 AM
Program version: 17.6.2310 (build 17.6.3625.0)

Attempting to manually run a update for either results in a "already up to date" message.

Hello guys, thanks for the report. Based on the symptoms this does not seem to be related to the yesterday's issue - which was entirely inside the virus database and could hardly cause browsers to shutdown. We need to look into this. Thanks Lukas

The same Problem here; this is not acceptable ! Frequently the Updates of Avast are making things worse and now even cause the Crash of ALL Browsers.....

I will not prolong my License and change imediately !!!!

FU !!!!!!!!

I have a problem which is a bit different, but quite possibly related: all my browsers (Chrome, Mozilla, IE) do work in general, but when I try to save a file from within a browser - to download an attachment in Gmail, for example - my UI windows looks like in the attached pic. I use Windows 7.

Uninstalling Avast helps.

Please fix this as soon as possible.

anyone else with this problem, we're not able to simulate it in our lab. Can you please rename "snxhk.dll" / "snxhk64.dll" back to original name, run your web browser and when a crash window is shown, run Task Manager and create dump of those processes? Can you please compress them (7z/rar) and upload on our ftp (ftp.avast.com) ? Thanks.

The Avast team require dumps.
