Uncheck https scanning in Webshield settings. Let us know if that takes care of the problem.
Avast knows about the problem and is working on a fix.

Thanks a lot for your great response.
all the websites runs again, when I uncheck "https scanning".

Why this problems?

My Firefox works fine from a long time, and suddenly the problems appear.

And is it dangerous to use my computer when  this option (https scanning)  is disabled?

thanks Again

The problem is not with Firefox but with Avast, and they are (we hope) working to fix it in a future version.

With HTTPS scanning off, you will not be protected from malware which may install itself via HTTPS.  I keep it disabled as little as possible, and only for sites I trust.

Just received the following reply from Avast on this matter:
"we have microupdate ready, being tested. Should go out tomorrow"
Let's hope that by tomorrow this will be fixed. :)

Thanks for the update, Bobbers.  For me, this is now fixed.  :D I think the "micro" update was installed either at boot or by updating the virus definitions.
