Behavior Shield activated?
« on: July 08, 2017, 02:30:08 PM »
So the past couple of versions I had massive problems with this component so during the installation from a clean system it was un-ticked.  Now after the update to 2302 the component is activated.  Just wondering is this component now required in order to run Avast?

I don't have any issues with any of my Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 systems I manage, but just noticed it after the update a couple of days ago so just wondering.

Thanks

Unless you did a clean install, your old settings should have been honored.
The Behavior Shield Component adds another layer of protection but, as many other components (Shields) can be omitted.

Right now, there are some known problems with this shield occasionally being off on a reboot and needing to be started manually.

There's a bug while upgrading to the latest version which installs the behaviour shield when it wasn't an installed component previously.  That will be fixed next version.
