Boot Scan (install special definitions)
« on: July 09, 2017, 04:08:42 PM »
Trying to install the special definitions so I can run a boot scan.
However, they will not install, even after letting the installer run for over an hour.
I have run c cleaner, restarted computer, even left it sitting off overnight to try again, only to encounter the same thing.

  Help?  (avast internet security)

Change your DNS to the one from Google and see if it solves the problem.

Thanks Eddy for the quick response.

After digging around a little bit on my own, I have to admit I am clueless how to get to that setting.  I'm pretty good though once i get a roadsign-

Where do I find the option to switch the DNS?    Thanks!

On a side note I have never had an issue with this function in the several years I have been using avast.   So what changed?

Tried using google for changing DNS , however I can go no further than sleect the adapter I want to change. I do not get the option to change anything--
