« on: July 14, 2017, 05:06:11 PM »
Hi guys, I have terrible problem with my computer, Yesterday i have error with one of my .sys file that names AswVmm.sys. I saw that couple of people have the same problem. I was trying a lot of ,,brilliant'' ideas about how to fix that error.  Now i try to apply this method from ,,essexboy'' : https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

I added FRST.txt to attachments.

(Sorry for my english because I actually learning this langue ;-) )

OK. Now we will try to remove faulty Avast binary file by force.

  • Open Notepad ( click on Start and type notepad.exe)
  • Copy text from code block below and paste it into Notepad
Code: [Select]
S0 aswVmm; C:\Windows\system32\drivers\aswVmm.sys [361336 2017-07-11] ()
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\aswVmm.sys
  • Go to File -> Save As and save it under name fixlist.txt to USB drive
  • Start Recovery Environment and FRST as you did before
  • Click Fix button and wait until FRST finishes
  • On your USB drive there should be fixlog.txt
  • Try to start Windows again

Can you boot Windows now?
