my dear netcat

Avast worked perfectly for months, but since a recent update, it seems to tag netcat (a network developing tool) as a virus. I cannot use this program unless i temporarily disable avast. Is there a way to fix this?

1. Add the file to Exclusion lists:

For the Standard Shield provider (on-access scanning):
Left click the 'a' blue icon, click on the provider icon at left and then Customize.
Go to Advanced tab and click on Add button...

For the other providers (on-demmand scanning):
Right click the 'a' blue icon, click Program Settings.
Go to Exclusions tab and click on Add button...

You can use wildcards like * and ?.
But be carefull, you should 'exclude' that many files that let your system in danger.

2. Please, send the file to Alwil for analysis and correction of this false positive. Send an email with the file to virus@avast.com
You can zip and password the files... Inform a link to this thread and the password used. You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis. Thanks.
