Hi guys I have found a bug, if you scan multiple files or folders at once buy right clicking and selecting scan with avast and making sure all the files or folders are scanned. The tray notification icon vanishes. In order to bring the tray notification icon back I click on Problems and Notifications within the avast interface and then select dismiss all.

Pc Specs:
i5 7600
16gb DDR4 Ram
Windows 10 Creators Update
Avast: Free Latest Version Installed

Edit: Added My Pc Information

PS: It seems like avast wont clear virus chest if it detects anything. I had some legitimate software from my asus motherboard which it flagged as a false positive and it would not delete it from the virus chest regardless of how many times I selected right click delete.

Can someone confirm these two bugs thanks .

i tried updating this program and as soon as the update was finished and my system restarted, my Avast crashed with error message, "UI has malfunctioned". Because of that, my system was unprotected for many days. had to uninstall it and reinstall the program

Is there a question ???
If you had asked for advice when it first happened, this is what you would have received (at least from me.)

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB204

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:

Well I have this version installed on my Windows 10 laptop and it crashes with each virus defintiion update, at least 3 time today!
It also impacts the update of other programs which fail to install properly and I cant use them
I have had to go backto a restore point to recover and to get my network back
I have used Avast for over 10 years but I am no having to consider my options

i am not able 2 update my avast becausse thise exe is always being blocked by something
wsc_proxy.exe is being blocked and als has no rights not even in ADMIN mode so Avast canot update itself on my comp
and thus my protection gets shut off i think thats a bit uncool.
maybe its windows10/microsoft or its your own program that block's i dont know but it happens every time its saying it needs updates

Sounds like a firewall issue.

Well it didn't fix the HTTPS Scanning Problem that is affecting XP and Vista users.  :(
All it did was put my Vista laptop right through the mill  >:(
My CPU was stuck at 100% for about 10 minutes. And I really didn't think the update was ever going to finish.
Still got to update my sons Windows 7 desktop yet. Not looking forward to it!

one question how do i know is it working & is it working properly? cause its automatic thing what it should do awry time i visit a site, i do not know about this stuff, if there is something that isn't working or isn't working properly & avast doesn't notify me i don't know & my PC will get infested by bad stuff without me knowing (i bet there is no notification if something is just broken & its turned on), Avast need to think about ppl who are less smarter about Antiviruses & bad stuff
