This happens quiet often. I did a clean install of the windows creators update 64 bit and tried avast and after working fine for 1 day it started showing the same issue. I have to ditch avast and move to other products as this has been occuring multiple times and i have notified about the same issue in the beta section months ago as well.

I have done clean install and clean system installation but the issue remains the same.

I don't have any other security software. It is a clean installation of windows with office and some other essential basic tools like  media player classic, winrar & Internet Download Manager. And Right on time did kaspersky Released a Free Antivirus Software. I will stick with that for the rest of the time until avast 10 comes up with a better user interface. Bye Avast! Until this new UI gets done with.  :) :) I have spent 10 years with you its time for a change it seems.

If it is, then we are probably looking at a conflict between @ AV's Avast and AVG.
Pick one. Totally remove the other before installing another AV.

Charvin's UI issues go back to March looking back at his posts, I'd say he has other issues going on with his system due to virus testing ;)

Not if he did a clean install of Windows 10.

Yes, Indeed this started when the new UI was launched in Beta. Since then i was not able to use avast! Any version of it no matter if i try the Beta or the stable ones. I have tried AVG as well hoping that avast! bought them so they will offer almost the same protection as avast! but this exact UI issue was there as well.

Then after months of looking for another antivirus provider to work with i finally decided to do a clean system format 2 days ago and installed only the essentials including avast! this time hoping that since it will start working fine on a clean installation. Don't know how or why the exact same issue just popped right back up.  :-[

I have been using avast! since 2007 and have seen it change from the blue round to this orange phase but this new UI does not seems to be working properly. Since the same UI design is in AVG and it failed as well with the same screen i guess there is some bad code in the common UI engine.

It will load up some times after a reboot or if i did a repair but will show up the exact same thing after a few hours.

Did everyone forget about me, I posted the avast message problem....LOL Those just reading it, please note the system I am running, it is windows xp. I just play games and search some things, nothing of importance is on it and have never had this avast problem before. I have had avast for a few years now.
