Not sure why or how this happened.
My Avast firewall must be disabled to allow me to connect to the internet (wifi). I have no issue when the Avast firewall is disabled and the Windows 8 firewall is on. I cant figure out why this has changed. I have two other PCs (both linux) android phone, iphone,ipad all accessing no problem. This started last week on vacation in Spain. Firstly all was ok (this laptop,and 4 other devices all accessing through the router in Spain. Then this PC just stopped and could not connect unless the avast firewall was disabled) On my return the same issue persists with this laptop. I backed up and reset avast but still no good. Cant find too much relevant info on the net. Any help greatly appreciated
