Avast cleanup subscription not requested
« on: July 24, 2017, 06:20:56 PM »
You have subscribed me to avast cleanup without my permission and took 50$ from my account. I have 2 kids to feed. Give me back my money.

Thanks

avast doesn't subscribe people without their permission.
Likely you (or someone there) took a trial and didn't disabled it (in time).

I've been using Avast for at least 10 years and I've always promoted it. Lately they have added some tricks like the "not so very clean subscriptions". I think it's good to remind the staff that customers are not as stupid as they think. You won 50$ but you've lost a customer.

They shouldn't automatically have the auto renew checked unless we want it, then we will check it ourselves.  I didn't even know I was set at automatically renew cause I would have never tried the trial, this is a scam towards free users.  Having anything payment related should be up to us if we want it set to auto pay, not your doing to have it listed as auto when you download free or trial programs.  I think the BBB needs to get involved here, or some consumer help site to help with these practices.
