Avast Pro Antivirus
« on: July 24, 2017, 07:45:39 PM »
Attention! AvastProAntivirus force me to purchase AvastPremium with the Firewall. Avast bored me with messages that my computer is in virus danger. All started with Wi-Fi router that  Avast named as source of virus threat! I HAVE NO Wi-Fi router!!! But I disabled services via cmd:/. Messages that my computer in danger didn't stop. I disabled SMBv1, SMBv2 via cmd:/. I did all that was recommended on Microsoft site. Avast still forewarm me with it messages. Intellectual scanning finds threats again and again. I do not believe Avast antivirus yet. I'm going not to prolong my subscription for the next term.

There is no software in the world that forces you to buy other software.

avast didn't say that your system is in danger, it only said the protection could be better.

What exact make/model modem/router do you have ?
Normally mentioned on a sticker at the bottom or the back of the device.

What is the exact message that Avast displays to warn you of danger?

Thanks for the answer!
It's really Avast says that protection may be better with Avast Premier. I took that wrong as "force to install Premier version". My mistake indeed.

It's a sales pitch for one of their paid products. Disregard if you intend to stay with the free version.
