One Touch Login Pairing Issues

I have set up Avast Passwords on my laptop and set up the corresponding app on my android phone. When pairing the laptop and mobile apps, the mobile app confirms a successful pairing. However, at the same time, my laptop app advises 'Sorry, there's been an unexpected error; One Touch Login wasn't setup properly. We'll have to try again later'. I have attempted to pair my laptop and mobile phone numerous times. The phone says 'Paired', the laptop doesn't. Any ideas or suggestions? I have followed all instructions to the letter.
