Locked in passive mode

Please help! Notifications show dashboard passive mode locked. I don't have access to some component controls either.

Presumably you have another AV enabled ?

If so I just wonder if you would first have to disable that before taking avast out of Passive Mode.

Another thought, have you tried disabling the avast Self Defence mode in Troubleshooting ?

No other AV software on machine. I uninstalled and reinstalled now seems to be fine. I also had issues with it blocking my iphone from connecting to itunes. I will try now with new install to test functionality. Thanks for your reply!
