[2306] Threat Protection Dialog Opinion
« on: August 09, 2017, 04:05:23 PM »
Hi There

Trying out 2306 beta on my Windows 7 SP1 System and my Windows 10 Pro system,  Pro shows the dialogs properly and i'll say for sure don't like them centering in the middle of the screen for web shield, file shield, and behavior shield.  What was wrong with the old way of doing it?  Is this a change to be more align with AVG or a change for change sake?

I also don't like these. Why can't it be a popup like it was till now with button "More info" and that would bring up this masive popup in the middle of the screen. These popups that appear under user mouse cursor are nightmare because they tend to appear just when you want to click something and it just always happens that you nail some button on it.

Also, AV is there to protect you, not to steal focus from what you're doing. Which is why I think this new direction with these super massive popups centered on the desktop is a bad idea.

Yes thinks it's a very bad idea, for experienced users just a big annoyance, but for non experienced family members major pain in the rear, will be explaining to them all the time what to do, Family members clicking wrong things, major nightmare that is coming I feel

That's one of the reasons people fled from AVG some time ago and came over to Avast.  8)

And then Avast bought AVG and now we are seeing AVG stuff and AVG appear to be taking over Avast. The lack of input from the avast team in the forums seems to be going the way of the AVG forum of old.

And with No Response from Avast Team Members regarding these new threat alerts, Not sure what to do at this point,  Liked Avast Free all these years, trust it, doesn't affect system performance,  While in my Windows 10 Pro systems here I got the option of Defender, but not sure I fully trust that,  Might come down to just putting up with those darn Threat Alerts in the end.

But still thinking at this point, and such

Ok will Wait for an answer, and go from there at the point.  Or just learn to live with the new alerts if have to, but for now waits for answer
