Windows 10 Movies & Tv App Issues
« on: August 14, 2017, 11:07:53 PM »
Hi All

Windows 10 Pro x64bit 15063.540
Avast free 17.5.2303

Issue is when I open Movies & Tv app with Avast installed, it is completely black and won't play anything local or non local, with Windows Defender activated works fine, what gives?  Another Avast bug?   if so how do I solve this one without completely giving up on Avast, and uninstalling it permently?

Maybe I just need a Clean 10 Install, maybe i'll do it prior to Fall Creators update, not sure yet

No problem here. (This isn't a clean install either.)

No problems selecting and playing the selection.

It goes black when I attempt to play a purchased program is main issue, but I might just fix it when I do my clean install for Fall Creators update

I don't have any paid items to select. :)

it's ok, i'll just leave it alone for now, and do my clean install whenever Fall Creators update is released and should fix then I would think

Let us know if that solves the problem.

Will do, I imagine it would solve it, but won't know for sure til Fall Creators update is final and clean install done, and then will see if it does.  Over the course of last few months

I used Avast a few weeks, then listened to another friend around here where I lived, dude you should be using Defender built into Windows 10, much better performance and such,  and then I made my own decision to go back to Avast, then read something again, and end up back on Defender,  (I guess I'm sometimes indesicive (however spell that)  but decided sticking with Avast for sure now lol))

Yes I seen that, why made my decision fully to stay with Avast now, and little errors and stuff can fix with Fall Creators update clean install and should be fine
