New rogue antispyware on the loose
« on: April 23, 2006, 11:49:22 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

More and more we hear about people that seek help here because of rogue antispyware programs, a new one is out and on the loose, read about spyware soft stop here:
http://sunbeltblog.blogspot.com/2006/04/new-rogue-on-loose-spyware-soft-stop.html

Spyware Soft Stop - spywaresoftstop.com - app plants the very files it falsely detects as malware (1); aggressive, deceptive advertising (1); false positives work as goad to purchas

Unaware users are tempted by pop-ups or on sites to download bogus antispyware programs that land them into a lot of trouble to say the least.  Go to SpywareGuide.com and get informed if a program is genuine or rogue, or install siteadvisor in IE oir FF or Flock browser.
