Good day,
I have a problem I am sure you can assist me with.
Just recently I have been charged a sum of 59,99€ for Avast software, software I have not ordered nor have I gotten any confirmation E-mail prior or after the charge has occurred.
I did notice that aside Avast Software there was an abbreviation DRI which, through a bit of research on the Internet I found out they are one of two companies who are responsible for your financial transactions with costumers, among others.
I also noticed that there were a lot of people with the same or similar problems as I have right now, being charged for a specific sum for a product they have never ordered.
After I searched my bank statements I have come across this DRI in some other transactions, software I did order and received, which makes me wonder what kind of a company are you partnering with, that takes my credit card number and randomly charges it for products I never asked for, nor allowed the transaction in the first place.
One thing about Internet shopping security is that my credit card is only charged for specific transaction. No one company that intermediates those transaction is allowed to keep any data concerning my credit card without my permission. Since I have never made an account with Digital River it begs the questions how is it possible that Digital River for Avast Company (to whom I have never given any information related to my bank account or credit card) came about my credit card information and the card verification value number?
I am actually expecting an answer from a company that offers Internet protection in all forms, that is dealing with a company like Digital River who technically steals data that was used as a one time purchase with other companies they intermediate for.
Thank you for the read and answers.
