New Avast update causes problems
« on: August 31, 2017, 02:47:11 PM »
So with the new update (31st of August) Firefox doesn't load websites. Google just shows a blank white page, the rest of the websites don't load claiming that there is no connection. Once I turn off Avast everything works clean. I tried it on Internet Explorer and it is the same. (Win 7 64 bit if it matters). Any thoughts on what to do?

Edit: Seemingly not all sites are effected, but previously trustworthy sites don't load either.

There hasn't been a update today.
Not for the stable version nor for the beta.

I am all very confused now.

Is there a specific google location/URL that you can't enter as I have no issue connecting to google.  Of course when connecting to google.com it redirects to your geo.location, google.co.uk in my case.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Edited comment.

It's a lot of urls. Avast's website comes in just fine. But sites like twitch.tv, reddit.com or google.com doesn't load at all. Youtube comes in half bugged, with some thumbnails refusing to load or the comment section endlessly loading.

exactly the same problem can't log into gmail
can't surf to yahoo
can't surf to google start page
before someone issues an update, they should be certain the damn stuff works.

How do I get a refund for the paid version of this software?
