Oops, looks like something is still wrong with the fix, I updated it on Thursday Sept 7th, and postponed reboot until late night, after reboot my browsers couldn't connect, however, pings and traceroutes from CMD did work fine as well as USENET readers using NNTP protocol.
After removing Avast completely, browsers did connect with no problem and system was much faster booting up and much more responsive in file management, image viewing and internet browsing.
My System's relevant features: AMD PhenonII X6, 4Gb RAM, Windows XP Pro, Zone Alarm free, Spybot SD, no proxies, 8Mbps cable internet.
