if someone could split the topic so the email subscription alerts issue goes into its own thread, I'd be super pleased..got alot going on atm and cannot do it myself. real life drinks pond water at times ^^;
You've already gotten an answer to your first question.
Now you know why you should always start a new topic if you have another unrelated question. :)
Only a Mod. can do what you asked and that may or may not happen.

Whilst the Mods can move a 'topic' but as far as I'm aware they can't split a topic into two parts. Which is why I suggested a new topic early on when it was clear the early suggestion to disable the 'Enable Avast email signature' was already unchecked.

Hi.You have a free version of avast antivirus so you can't disable it but if you buy their paid version you are able to stop this. :)
Are you using cleanup tool from avast? you can remove it from ui by customize installation of the product.

I have the paid version and still get this.  I want it to go away!  I hate in your face sales tactics.  Ditto for the VPN client - it gives you the impression it IS part of the product.

Add remove components doesn't necessarily remove the blatant adverts.

I have a very minimal installation, none of the cleanup or performance (junk), nor do I have SecureLine VPN.  That doesn't stop me getting ads when I do anything related to these paid components.

There are other adverts that make my blood boil, the totally misleading ad to Active my firewall, when I have a firewall on every system and it is Active.  I can put up with most of the ads, but this one makes me very angry.

Hi Dave, it should work/help (in the paid versions).

In the paid version, surely the option not to 'Show popup offers for other Avast programs' should cover all of this sort of thing.  Plus in paid versions, surely this option should be disabled.

Don't rely on that. ;) I/we had to fight hard to get some of this stuff removed (even in Premier).

I get annoyed about some the strokes pulled in the avast free version, I would be absolutely furious if this were in a product I had paid for.  So much so I would drop back to the free versions or another paid alternative.

Marketing needs to get real, they are driving people away with aggressive and misleading ads.  It wouldn't b a bad idea if they monitored these forums to see the results of their actions.

The bad part is that even when the component isn't installed, you still get this message. :(

Yes just got it again, when I wasn't even running a scan.

See attached image, I even clocked the Resolve button to see if it then took me to the payment screen.  Well knock me down with a feather, it reported I had no issues, but there was still a Resolve button at the bottom of the screen. I had tired if playing the game, so I didn't bother clicking the Resolve button again.
