Reinstalled avast! but it was dead!  :'(

Had to do a system restore to be able to uninstall.

Hmmmm, very weird. It won't let me! I mean, I can't click on the options as with other programs. I'll have to use unlocker after all. I'll close the internet connection first and I'll get back to you later.

On the dialog you posted (the one with the permissions, which is empty), click on the "Add" button, enter a username (could be e.g. "everyone") and confirm.

Oh, I forgot. After the update, avast! tried (unsuccesfuly) to update VDF and presented a message that my licence is about to expire - licence is good 'till 1/1/2007, system date & time is correct.

I forwarded the log to the respective developers; I don't know much about this part myself, so I won't try to speculate about what it means. There's certainly something wrong with the setup :(

I have erasing version 4.7.826
I have installing version 4.7.817 wihtout problem

I will keep using version 4.7.817 whitout updating program since they found a solution.
