Hoi Eddy,

I'm sorry to read you're bad news Eddy, and we're all going to missed you.

As Mason I was taught to enjoy life to the fullest, love and freedom as much as you can with your family who loves you so much, your closest friends around you too and also here on the Avast forum who is also close to you.

Don't let fear get you towards the end of your journey, because is perfectly natural Eddy just focus on enjoying life to the fullest as much as you can.

All glory to the most high to you Eddy ;)

The best advice I can pass along is to always think positive and leave the final decision in the Lords hands.
Please follow that advice even if you don't agree. :)
(It certainly will not make matters any worse.)

Eddy,

I don't really have words. We haven't talked much, but I hope you get better. The hole you will leave here at Avast!  forums will never be filled. You will be missed everywhere people have had the chance to meet you.

I wish you the best,
~Michael

Strenght to Eddy and family,

We all hope that miracles do happen sometimes.

Thoughts to the Avast Team:
Since Eddy gave so much time, effort and support for Avast...
Can't Avast do some effort (in any way) to support Eddy and family?

That would really be a great "anti-virus"-act.

To Rednose: Goed gedaan ;-)

Only thing avast can do "for me" is to stop with that idiotic marketing strategy and solve all the known bugs that are on the huge list they have there.

It is time avast start realizing where they came from, what made them large/successful.

Not fixing existing bugs has already led to the slow rot of Avast.  More neglect will only accelerate the decline.

Yes indeed +++

Avast should read your previous statements and certainly this one... and do something about it.
I realy hope they follow your advice.
Good thing would be making a tribute...

A unique Avast Free "Eddy Edition"
... adjusted to, and based on your wishes.
A complete working AV-version, without any bugs nor marketing items.
Then keep that version unchanged forever as basic (always working) reference-file.

This is a good way for them to show respect for all what you did.
Other massive posters on this forum can agree and help with that I think.

Hope the best for you in comming difficult times...
Also hope the Avast-Team will read this post.

Decline of Avast forced me already to run Defender instead of Avast on half of my PC's.
(As precaution in case Avast makes all of them suddenly unusable)
