Need to change password in Avast & support not replying

Avast self protection is not recognizing the password anymore. I want to reset the password but Avast support has not replied to my request.
I want to uninstall Avast because it's been making trouble, calling good PDF's as viruses & even worse it tagged the exe of my most used & most important program  virus & killed it! (An Rxing & patient record program for a charity health clinic).

regarding the deteceted PDFs and program: can you submit them using https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php ? We would like to check and fix the detections.

This post doesn't really looks to be related to Avast Passwords feature, seems to me that you should follow this guide to remove password protecting  antivirus itself
