So, what do you really expect companies (AV or otherwise) to answer questions that could well leave them more vulnerable to exploit or commercial in confidence.  Especially when those answers are going to be published in public.

What is to say those that have answered aren't being economical with their answers.

Not sure this should be in this forum or the Non-Avast security products sub-forum.

Actually, if you've been reading the Avast Blog, you would have found answers to most of these questions.
I also don't think that just because you don't answer someone's question that it indicates that
you're guilty of something. Maybe it's time for reporters to learn to be reporters again.
