Avast mobile security pro - slowing my Galaxy S7
« on: October 29, 2017, 12:01:15 AM »
Hello,

I'm running Avast mobile security pro version 6.6.0-316428-1e53d8c

On my Samsung Galaxy S7 which is still running android version.7.0.

I find my phone runs much slower with this software installed and has developed a variety of bugs, for example, when I receive a new email and I've got unread emails in my account my phone alerts me of these unread emails by playing the new email message for all unread messages, it's no big deal when I'm on top of my emails, however I've had occasions where I had over a hundred unread messages. At this point my phone sounds like it's going to explode as it alerts me to every message.

This didn't happen before avast software was installed.

Other issues like unlocking my phone take between 1 - 20 seconds.

I'm sure I'm forgetting other things, however any advice on how to optimise the software to stop these annoyances?

Thanks for any advice
Peace x

Hi, I cannot imagine how the AMS could cause the unread emails issue you have described, but let's try this - can you please uninstall the AMS app and check, if the e-mail bug persists? Thanks.
