Browser_pass.dll will not start after Avast update

Hi!

I just updated Avast (to ver. 17.8.2318 - build 17.8.3705.0), but now one of the shields ("adfærdsskjold" in Danish) cannot be turned on, which must be because of the attached error message, which can be translated to:

"RunDLL

There were problems while starting browser_pass.dll because the side-by-side configuration is wrong."

Please help me.

I am using the Avast Free Antivirus on an up-to-date Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit ASUS Laptop. I also have COMODO Free Firewall 10, but that has never been a problem.

Have you tried avast repair?

Repair is avast Nr#1 fix    ;)   Uninstall/Reinstall Nr#2
